Nicola Benz

Nicola’s practice is focused on technology and life sciences transactions. Ronald Kogens

Ronald’s practice is focused on technology and life sciences transactions. He advises technology companies of all sizes, from start-ups to established players, as well as investors, suppliers and customers across a broad range of industries and sectors. Ronald has in-depth knowledge of IP/IT law, in particular licensing of IP-rights, IP-transaction and contract law. He is an expert in the field of blockchain technology, crypto-currencies and crypto-tokens. Before he joined Froriep, he worked for a major global consulting firm. He was also part of the legal counsel team of a public listed pharmaceutical company at the headquarters in Switzerland and worked for its subsidiary in the United States. Ronald graduated in law from the University of Lucerne in 2011 and was admitted to the St. Gallen Bar in 2012. In 2016 he was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in business law from the Chapman University, California, United States. His working languages are German and English.

Stéphanie Oneyser

Stéphanie's practice focuses on civil litigation matters and insolvency law. She joined our firm as an associate in April 2014. After obtaining a Master of Laws degree from the University of Fribourg in 2009, she did her legal internships with a business law firm in Zurich and the District Court of Horgen. Until 2014, she worked as a law clerk at the District Court of Horgen and passed the Zurich Bar Exam in 2013. Stéphanie has also experience in arbitration cases. She has worked for Prof. Pierre Tercier who was chairman of many ICC arbitration proceedings. Moreover, she advices in arbitration proceedings in sport law under the CAS Rules. Her working languages are German, English and French.

Dr. Irène Schilter

Irène's practice focuses on public and private M&A transactions, corporate and commercial law, contract law including litigation in these fields. She joined our firm as associate in 2015. Prior to joining Froriep, Irène worked at the University of Zurich as research and teaching assistant and also as an associate and notary public in a Zug law firm.She graduated in law from the University of Zurich in 2007 and was admitted to the Zug Bar in 2012. She obtained her PhD in 2011.

Evelien's practice focuses on corporate and commercial law. She also works as a civil law notary and in employment law. She joined Froriep in 2013. After graduating, Evelien trained with a commercial law firm in Zug and was admitted to the Zug Bar in 2009. She then worked for several years with an international audit and advisory firm in Zurich in the fields of corporate and commercial law, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Evelien obtained her Master of Law from the University of Fribourg in 2007. Her working languages are German, Dutch, English and French.

Dunja Koch

Dunja has expertise in all aspects of corporate and finance law, advising mainly UK and US clients with regard to Switzerland. She is the managing partner of the London office. Dunja joined the firm in 1998 and became a partner in 2003. She regularly works on M&A and private equity deals, as well as leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, but also project, commodity and asset finance matters, including aircraft finance. Here, she acts on behalf of aircraft manufacturers, banks and leasing companies in relation to the Swiss aspects of acquisition of aircraft, engines or portfolios. Her practice further covers collective investments, private placements and regulatory matters, where she advises foreign funds, dealers and other financial institutions in relation to their activities in Switzerland. Panama, Its Canal and Counterfeit Trade

Panama is synonymous with its Canal and the Canal dominates much of the discussion in Panama, as I learnt at the International Trademark Association Leadership Meeting I recently attended in Panama City. One particularly interesting discussion that I participated in revolved around the trade in counterfeit goods through the Canal.
